Will Browar
WEB DESIGNER + FRONT-END DEVELOPER + MANAGER
will@wbrowar.com https://wbrowar.comI’m looking for my next role as a front-end UI developer or software engineering manager. My sweet spot is working as a bridge between UI/UX design and development so I would like to do more with design systems and customer-centric UI development.
I began my career with a degree in graphic design, but gravitated towards CSS and web development. I used what I learned about typography and color to develop web designs for clients international, national, and local to the Rochester, NY region. This included everything from infrastructure work, architecting content structures for CMS platforms, and creating pixel-perfect designs that worked across mobile devices and widescreen displays. During this time I evolved from an IC into a supervisor, then into the manager for the department where I got to hire and help developers grow and advance in their careers.
My next step took me to work on the UI side of an international fleet management B2B SaaS product. This exposed me to enterprise-level products, using industry-standard tools and practices. As a specialism lead I help develop our design system used across our platform and I am a code owner who approves PRs from our entire engineering team.

Front-End Development Lead
I work in a cross-functional squad to bring the vision of our Product and UX/UI Design teams to our international customers—writing Typescript, Vue.js, and CSS to create UI features for our fleet management SaaS products. This involves utilizing microservice-based APIs, an in-house design system, unit and E2E testing frameworks, and industry-standard Git, CI/CD, and code-quality tools.
As a specialism lead for my team, I work with stakeholders to guide quarterly planning, make front-end-focused decisions, and participate as a code owner for our design system. Collaborating with my team has exposed me to Java and TypeScript-based API platforms, product architecture, and testing automation tools used by our QA and support team members.
